MARINA BARDAJÍ
Artist and Founder of Marina Purpurina

Hi! I’m Marina, a Barcelona-based artist born in December 1986. I graduated in Tourism and later completed a Master’s Degree in e-Tourism, but I soon discovered that my true passion was working with children through school camps and summer programmes.
As a child, I loved drawing, and over the years I have developed new creative skills that now allow me to make a living doing what I love. It is the combination of creativity and working with children that truly fulfils me. When people ask me what I do for a living, I often say that I spread joy and happiness to children. The truth is, they are the ones who bring happiness to me.
I find inspiration in nature and its beauty: the roots of trees, the colours of leaves and flowers, the shapes of clouds, starry skies, the flutter of butterflies, falling feathers and the rhythm of the sea. I am also inspired by balloon art, creative baking and urban art.
Always colour. Always life. Always love as the force that connects us all.
They say glitter is the sparkling expression of who you truly are inside. In that spirit, the Marina Purpurina project was born in January 2016, inspired by a desire to reconnect with the creative voice of my inner child.
