Marina Bardají

Hi! My name is Marina and I’m a young woman born in Barcelona december 86. Since I was a child I have always loved make up and costumes. I would use any piece of material or object I could find at home in order to create my own designs.

I studied a Degree in Tourism, specialty in tourism management, and a Master in e-Tourism: Marketing and Online Marketing Strategies both at the University School of Hospitality and Tourism CETT-UB. And  although I had completed university studies, I realized at the age of 23 that what really fascinated me was the world of leisure. Since then, I have worked as a leisure instructor and entertainer in hotels in Mainland Spain and in the Canary Islands for over 8 years. This also included playing roles in musical shows and plays for children. I worked as well as an emotional educator at a school farm and as a leisure director in a summer camp. I have also participated in shows and plays for children’s musicals.

It was in October 2014 when I began to be curious about the idea of making figures out of balloons and painting children's faces into a great variety of characters and animals. I have been training in a self-taught way, also taking online face and body art classes from the world’s best instructors on FabaTV, and attending different conventions such as CEBA (European Convention Balloon Artist). Currently, I am a student of the Olga Murasev’s International Face Painting School.

They say that glitter is the shining expression of who you are within, well, the “Marina Purpurina” project was born January 2016 in order to connect with the creative voice of my inner child.
